The Harrods Fashion Lab first opened its doors in 2013 and occupies 32,000sq ft of the store’s fourth floor replacing what had previously been the Way In department (established since the late 60s).
Harrods wanted the space to appeal to a younger customer, showcasing the latest trends and labels. The renovation was therefore crucial to effectively implementing this new strategy; the design of the new space needed to reflect a more relaxed and modern environment. To help the client achieve this, we supplied bespoke ceiling panels fabricated from our Meshtec range. We used aluminium, finished in a polyester powder coat, which mimicked the surrounding décor and resulted in a sleeker, more modern-looking space.
In recent years we have seen an increase in our products being used in retail stores for applications such as ceiling panels. They offer greater aesthetics, as well as practical benefits including durability, easy installation and water resistance, which means they will not stain like traditional plasterboard, fibreboard and timber materials.
