My Work Experience Week at Cadisch

My school had decided for my year group to take part in work experience for a week, to help gain new skills which could be useful in a working environment. I decided to work at Cadisch as the company focuses on some professions which are used in Architecture, the career that I wish to pursue. Many of their customers are Architects as a result of this, they know what type of metallic materials most architects tend to favor the most.

I was given a variety of tasks, one of which was to label metal samples to send out to architects and interior designer clients. I had an opportunity to feel different textures of metal, from Meshtec to Perftec. I now share the same knowledge that architects know about metallic materials. For example, they don’t ask for a “black aluminum metal”, they would ask for the type of metal they want in the finish “PPC RAL 9005”.

Having the ability to understand the difference between materials and their names given to them is crucial as these are key vocabulary that architects use daily when wanting new materials for their building projects. When I first walked into the office part of Cadisch, I inspected the modern, minimalistic, and trendy interior they had in their rooms, which had given me a good impression of them automatically. The staff was very welcoming, and my employer had given me several tasks which would help improve my professional skills in work and be beneficial to me when I decide to pursue a career in architecture.

QUATERHOUSE FOLKSTONE

Quarter house Folkstone is one of my favorite projects that Cadisch MDA has worked on. This is due to the reason that the exterior of the building has a sustainable design with a balance of aesthetics, ensuring it looks modern and minimalistic.

What made this edifice building stand out and catch my eye was its unique, pure white color causes it to stand out and the curved white ambasciata panels ensure the building is created from curvilinear architecture, with its marshmallow-like structure. Uniqueness in a building breaks away from common and traditional architectural designs, therefore causing it to be more appealing to the eye.

If I were to walk past this building, I would be in thought of how this building was made and what materials were used, whereas in comparison to their buildings, I would not do the same. This is the reason why the quarter house is one of my favorite projects from Cadisch.

ONSLOW MEWS, CHELSEA

What made me passionate to talk about the Onslow Mews in Chelsea project is that it’s very appealing to the eye, looking at the aesthetic aspect of the interior.

The unique architectural feature wall compliments the purple LED lights installed in the corners of the wall, causing the room to have a calm vibe. The light draws attention to the texture and the color of the stadium meshtec wall. The wall ensures that the building envelope complements each other well.

Due to the reason that the project has a pleasing and aesthetic design in the interior, this also causes an increase in their value also, making it a luxurious place.
