Hatfield train station is at the hub of the town’s commuter district, offering fast links in and out of London. It is also positioned directly opposite Hatfield House; a Jacobean country house that is home to many conferences and events that attracts visitors from around the country.
With the station’s footfall in mind, planning approval was given for the development of the adjacent car park. The commission was granted to uplift the car park’s façade with expanded metal mesh specified from Cadisch MDA’s Meshtec range.
We worked closely with the architect and main contractor to help them meet the various needs of the stakeholders involved including the specialist contractors, Network Rail, Herts County Council and the local community.
Commuters, tourists and passing passengers of Hatfield Station are now greeted with the stunning architectural mesh feature on the car park’s façade.
